Five Australian energy companies signed an agreement on joint acquisition of oil and gas projects in Africa. The companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which allows them to combine resources to search for, evaluate and acquire rights to implement oil drilling projects. The member companies of the union, which signed the Memorandum, are Beach Petroleum Ltd., Baraka Petroleum Ltd., Adelphi Energy Ltd., ARC Energy Ltd., and Advanced Well Technologies Pty Ltd. The Australian companies immediately began evaluating projects, first in Africa and then in other parts of the world, which means more offshore oil job offers not only in Africa, but also around the world.
